Prof. Auxiliar, Departamento de Filosofia, FCSH/ IFL
His research focuses mainly on issues of Aesthetics, Ontology and Moral and Political Philosophy. He has published on Plato, Schopenhauer and Nietzsche. He lectures at the Philosophy Department of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa since 1996; currently, he also lectures at the Communication Sciences Department, and a part of his research focuses on the theme of "Film and Philosophy". He is a member of GIRN (Groupe International de Recherches sur Nietzsche) and of the Seminario Permanente Nietzscheano (Centro Colli Montinari). He directs the research project "Nietzsche and the contemporary debate on the Self", which is funded by FCT (PTDC/FIL-FIL/111444/2009), and he is the Director of the Nietzsche International Lab (NIL), at IFL.
